Figure 3.8 shows the effect of wettability of nanoparticles on the dynamic spreading of nanofluid droplets of φ = 9.81 %. As expected, the droplet spreading kinetics slows down when the interaction between particles and water molecules increases, which can be attributed to the increases in both the surface tension and the solid–liquid friction.
